Hand lettering with Lorrie Everitt from Creative Bag.

Learn how to add faux hand lettering to a chalkboard sign. The cost of the class covers all materials and instruction. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

When: 10:30am – 11:30am at the Boiler House (smaller building).

Cost: $12, that includes the price of admission to the fair.

You will learn: Basic techniques for adding a hand lettered effect to chalkboards and other surfaces.

You will take home: One completed chalkboard sign with a saying of your choice from the three designs supplied.

Beginners embroidery with Michelle Galletta from Kiriki Press.

Learn the basic embroidery stitches in this hour long workshop. The cost of the class covers all materials and instruction. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

When: 12pm – 1pm at the Boiler House (smaller building).

Cost: $12, that includes the price of admission to the fair.

You will learn: Some of the basic embroidery stitches.

You will take home: A sampler kit.
For: Ages 12 and up. You must be comfortable working with needles and can thread a needle.

Relief printing on a tote bag with Arounna Khounnoraj from Bookhou.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of relief printing using vegetables. You will learn how to carve and print your own design onto a cotton tote bag. The cost of the class covers all materials and instruction. Fees are non-refundable. Sponsored by our friends at Creative Bag.

Felt Popsicles with Jen Moffat from Pikelet Workshop.

Learn basic hand-sewing skills and whip up some fun felt popsicles in this easy class. Fees are non-refundable. Sponsored by our friends at The Felt Store.

When: 3pm – 4pm at the Boiler House (smaller building).

Cost: $12, that includes the price of admission to the fair.

You will learn: How to make these adorable felt popsicles using felt and a basic stitch.

You will take home: One or two popsicles, time permitting.
For: Ages 12 and up. You must be comfortable working with needles and can thread a needle.

Summer Fun Workshops with Little Makers Hamilton.

Little makers offers workshops and events for kids that encourage responsibility, creativity, and exploration. They facilitate project-oriented skill building sessions to find the creative strengths kids have, and build experience that enables confidence in making.

When:

2pm-3:30pm Summer Stargazers

Feel free to drop in but allow your maker at least 45 mins to complete the project.

Cost: $7.50, that includes materials and instruction. Payable upon arrival. First come first serve basis. Class limit of 12 participants.

Weather Watchers: Did you know ants can tell you it’s going to rain? Explore different ways to have fun in summer weather by building your own sustainable science project!
